Going to another county might feel intimidating sometimes, especially if it is very different to your own. It’s common for people to feel a little bit overwhelmed, or like they don’t really know what to do or how to behave. The answer? To embrace cultural differences and make the most of them. After all, isn’t this exactly why we travel? So we can see and experience something new?

Cultural differences could be anything from codes of behaviour, to language, to food. They are all exciting differences, and areas where we can really learn to embrace another culture.

The only thing you need to do is be aware and culturally sensitive, to make sure you don’t offend anybody. As long as you show respect, you are unlikely to cause any offence. If you don’t like the food you try, at least your tried it. If you get some words of the language wrong, it’s great that you tried. Enjoy culture and embrace the differences.
